I am very much looking forward to our upcoming conversation. To maximize our time together, I wanted to share a brief, high-level overview of the conceptual and spatial framework I hope to explore with you.
With a focus on AFRICAN DINOSAURS, My current practice focuses on creating monumental masterworks—canvases measuring 3 × 5 meters and beyond—designed specifically to anchor large private, corporate, and institutional spaces across the African continent.
Artistically, my work is not a rejection of western concept of minimalism. Rather my work is drawing heavily from the visual lineage and dense narrative traditions of Twins Seven-Seven, I create hyper-intricate visual ecosystems where thousands of stories and patterns are woven into a single horizon line.
These paintings are "dinosaurs" in both their physical dimensions and their untamed presence, designed to act as a vital spiritual counterpoint inside clean, modern architectural frames. I picked African dinosaurs because they are very much a part of our history and who we are, but this is not expressed in our fine art. Roughly 140 distinct dinosaur taxa have been identified in Africa, yet its a part of our history not known to many of us.
Drawing on the popular TV show from my childhood “Tales by Moonlight”, the title of each painting, is a story I create with the dinosaurs that are picked for each canvas depending on the canvas size. I paint all dinosaurs to scale! The largest African dinosaur is estimated to have reached roughly 15 meters in height and 26 meters in length!
Beyond individual commissions, I am architecting a fluid, continent-wide ecosystem for these works:
The Living Archive: An uncapped, growing series of these monumental paintings to anchor large African spaces for the long-term development of thought.
The "Capped Herd" Tour: A highly selective, global touring exhibition that is strictly capped at a specific number of active canvases at any one time.
Dynamic Rotation: As collectors buy pieces or look to rotate their assets, the line-up of the traveling "herd" dynamically shifts, keeping the global exhibition fluid and highly exclusive.
Because your expertise uniquely bridges large-scale architectural theory, temporary exhibition spaces, and the precise "art of joining" complex elements, I would love to get your eye on this systemic blueprint.
Specifically, I want to discuss how to design modular environments that can beautifully frame these dense, rotating canvases, and how to strategically map their footprints across Africa's largest spaces.
Above is the 1 × 1 meter flagship painting with details of my intricate drawing style to give you a sense of the visual density we will be scaling up.
See you very soon.
