  • Terms and Conditions - Live Event Painting Services

    1. Booking and Payment

    1.1 Deposit

    A non-refundable deposit of 1,500 SEK (or 150 EUR) is required to secure your booking date. This deposit will be deducted from the final payment.

    Note: For high-cost destination events (travel costs exceeding 30,000 SEK/3,000 EUR), a higher deposit of 3,000 SEK/300 EUR may be required.

    1.2 Final Payment

    The first half of the payment must be paid 7 months before the event date

    The remaining balance must be paid 7 days before the event date

    2. Cancellation Policy

    2.1 Client Cancellation

    If the client cancels the booking:

    • Travel and accommodation costs already paid/booked are non-refundable

    • Of the remaining payment (excluding travel/accommodation), the client receives 40% back

    • Cancellations must be made at least 1 week before the event, otherwise all fees are forfeited.

    2.2 Alternative Option for Cancelled Events

    Instead of partial refund, clients may transform their booking into a studio painting where a custom artwork will be created from client-provided photographs at no additional cost.

    3. Force Majeure

    3.1 Artist Unable to Attend

    If the artist is unable to attend due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (illness, extreme weather, travel disruptions, etc.):

    • A studio painting will be created from client-provided photographs

    • All travel and accommodation fees will be fully refunded

    • The studio painting will be delivered within 6 - 8 weeks

    3.2 Event Cancellation Due to External Circumstances

    If the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond either party's control, the force majeure clause applies as outlined in section 3.1.

    4. Artwork Delivery

    4.1 Standard Completion

    Under normal circumstances, the completed painting will be delivered to the client at the end of the event.

    4.2 Studio Completion Rights

    The artist reserves the right to take the painting back to the studio for completion in certain situations, including but not limited to:

    • Complex lighting conditions

    • Time constraints during the event

    • Technical requirements for optimal results

    • Client's specific requests

    When studio completion is necessary, the finished artwork will be delivered within 6-8 weeks of the event date.

    5. Service Details

    5.1 Painting Duration

    The standard live painting service requires a minimum of 2 hours to complete. No additional charges apply for painting time within the event duration.

    5.2 Location-Based Pricing

    Prices are customized based on the event's destination. Travel and accommodation costs are calculated separately and added to the base painting fee, unless otherwise specified on the website, in which case said costs are already included.

    5.3 Travel Arrangements

    All travel and accommodation arrangements will be made by the artist and included in the quoted price.

    6. Client Responsibilities

    6.1 Event Information

    The client must provide:

    • Complete event details (date, time, location, guest count, event day contact person)

    • Venue contact information

    • Any special requirements or restrictions

    • High-quality reference photographs if studio painting is required

    6.2 Venue Requirements

    The client must ensure the venue provides:

    • Minimum 2-hour event duration for painting completion

    • Workspace area of at least 250 x 250 cm (2.5 x 2.5 meters) of clear floor space

    • Appropriate workspace with adequate lighting for painting

    • Access to electricity (standard power outlet)

    • Access to water (sink for brush cleaning and paint mixing)

    • Suitable environmental conditions (indoor or covered outdoor space protected from wind/rain)

    • Safe workspace area where the artist can work without obstruction

    The client is responsible for confirming these requirements with the venue prior to the event. If venue conditions are deemed unsuitable for painting upon arrival, the booking may be converted to a studio painting as outlined in section 2.2.

    7. Liability and Insurance

    7.1 Limitation of Liability

    The artist's liability is limited to the amount paid for services. The artist is not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages.

    7.2 Artwork Care

    Once delivered, the client assumes full responsibility for the artwork's care and condition.

    8. Intellectual Property

    8.1 Usage Rights

    The client receives full ownership of the physical artwork upon completion of payment for private use only. The artist retains the right to photograph the work for portfolio and promotional purposes.

    9. General Terms

    9.1 Modifications

    Any changes to these terms must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.

    9.2 Governing Law

    These terms are governed by Swedish law.
